Hemma Magazine
Interaction Design and Development

Hemma magazine is the brainchild of accomplished editor Sara Norrman, formally of Wallpaper*. The new Swedish lifestyle magazine aims to break the stereotypes and misconceptions of Sweden and present a true representation of the modern culture. While also showcasing the best of Swedish design, art, fashion, film, technology and iconic figures from the past. Hemma’s raison d’etre is to break the cultural stereotypes of modern Swedish lifestyle and pave a new vision for the future of Swedish design, art, fashion, food and technology while honouring the icons of the past.

Collaborating with TOBE I developed the front- and back-end of the website, which was revealed at the London Design Festival. The site is optimised for viewing on both desktop and tablet devices, using native tablet gestures to interact with elements of the site. A bespoke CMS allows editors to layout articles in dynamic and fluid templates, allowing for several layout options whist adhering to strict style guidelines.
